I'm so happy you're here. Some of the most profound healing occurs when we address our past and present difficulties through a combination of talk-therapies and body-based therapies. When we explore our mind-body patterns, we come closer to rediscovering our natural rhythms and reimagining our lives. You can absolutely make changes, become the version of yourself you want to be, and feel more at peace and ease in your body.
I am trained in the two therapeutic modalities below. If you don't have any knowledge of specific types of therapy, that's perfectly okay! There are descriptions of both and how my integrated approach may be helpful for you.
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-based psychotherapy model that helps with trauma and traumatic stress. Paying attention to body sensations and giving our systems time and space to heal can transform both psychological and physical symptoms. My somatic approach is also helpful for learning how to slow down.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) assumes that our mind is divided up into an infinite amount of parts or subpersonalities. By allowing our Self to identify and communicate with these parts, the Self can become the leader of the system. IFS can be used to discover more about yourself and gain balance and harmony.
